Expanding Submission Scope Update

Hi everyone!

Thank you all for your excitement and participation so far — it’s been amazing to see how many of you are passionate about building solutions to real-world problems!

Our hackathon team has discussed and came to the decision to expand submission options as we realized that limiting the submissions to be only figma prototypes may be too specific/limiting.

**Expanded Submission Options**

To make this event more inclusive and accessible, we are expanding our scope:

You may now submit either:
        A Figma-based UI/UX design
         OR
A functional app / website prototype built through code

You are welcome to use both if you’d like!

Judging Focus

While judges will review both Figma designs and coded projects, user experience design remains a core evaluation factor, including:

  • Problem understanding

  • Usability & accessibility

  • Visual design clarity

  • Communication of ideas

  • Thoughtful decision-making

So even if your project is primarily code-based, please make sure your submission:
✔️ Shows how users interact with your product
✔️ Explains your design or development process
✔️ Includes a short written description or video

Beginner-Friendly!

We want this to be a supportive space for learning and experimentation.
Whether you’re new to UI/UX or just getting started with app dev, this hackathon is a great way to:

  • Practice design thinking

  • Build your portfolio

  • Try out new tools

  • Receive personalized written feedback from industry judges

Help Us Grow

We’re excited to welcome participants from around the world — and we’d love your help spreading the word!
